The Gavin Foundation offers Substance Abuse Treatment for transitional age youths coping with addiction. Cushing House serves close to 100 adolescents and their families each year.

The six-month residential treatment program promotes healing in family relationships and offers family group meetings. We also provide opportunities for families to socialize with each other, and with other families in the program.

The Cushing House program promotes self-care, self-reliance and community responsibility through structured activities and the experience of living in a residential setting. Although both the boys and the girls programs use a similar structure, gender specific groups and activities are included in the programs. Psycho-educational and recovery support groups are primary tools, teaching about the nature of addiction, and the practice and principles of recovery.
